Tim Hortons Opens in Greenhills, San Juan, Philippines!

Hi Coffee Lovers!

How is your weekends coming along? Well I’ve been sick for the whole week, but that didn’t stop me from going out and getting some good old comfort food for breakfast today!

On the way to having breakfast, my wife and I passed by a place that has been closed for quite a long while undergoing renovation.

Yes, that’s right, my friendly Coffee Lovers! Tim Hortons has finally opened in Greenhills. (I say Greenhills because I really have no idea if they’ve opened up in other places of the Philippines.)

**Update to the writing above. I did a quick search and apparently, Greenhills is not the first branch 😀

And so naturally, being the coffee junkie that I am, we went there to taste their brewed coffee right after breakfast.

The Cashier

The place is pretty big, even for coffee shop standards. There are 2 cashiers where they can get your order, along with large menu billboards.

Aside from coffee, the menu has a variety of food that seems like they will prepare it for you in the kitchen, like biscuits and muffins, aside from the standard display of pastry that you can order near the cashier.

Tables and Chairs

After getting your coffee (and pastries, let’s not forget), you’re now greeted by the huge space for customers in the coffee shop. A line of couches, tables, chairs, 2 bar counters (one inside and another facing outside) and bar chairs line up the rank of hosts that are ready to greet your feet and give you that comfort that you’re looking for.

In time, I do see that this place will be filled up with people on laptops plugged into the internet. Oh! But I didn’t check if they have plugs installed for such things…

Overall, the brewed coffee is pretty good. It starts out bold while it was fresh off the pot and slowly becomes more fruity when it starts to cool down. Berry interesting, hmm? I’ve tried Tim Hortons in Canada before, but I ordered the Americano there, so I really can’t compare the coffee between here and there; however, I can say that I did like drinking that cup of brewed coffee this morning. Really lifted my spirits up!

So if you have time this weekend, why not go and drop by and try the coffee at the newly opened Tim Hortons? Don’t forget to share your experience in the comments down below.

Have a nice weekend!
